Division of Global Supply Chain Company Named Air Freight Forwarder of the Year
OHL’s Activair division was recently named air freight forwarder of the year by the British International Forwarder’s Association (BIFA). This prominent award was based on Activair’s successful global distribution of Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol on behalf of customer, Transworld Publishers part of The Random House Group UK.
Four hundred thousand copies of the eagerly-anticipated book were delivered simultaneously across the world. Activair distributed sixty-five percent of the books by air freight to fifty global locations. This was accomplished with no shortage, incident or damage and with none of the books finding their way into the public domain prior to the release date.
"We were most impressed with Activair UK’s excellent project management skills in this prestigious and time critical project," commented the judges at the awards ceremony. "It was their excellent communication, coordination, and attention to detail throughout the whole process which contributed into making this a great air freight success story."
"I am very proud of our team for the successful launch of another best-seller and for the esteemed recognition from BIFA," said Geoff Corpe, President of Activair. "We and our parent company, OHL, highly value service excellence and delighting our customers. This award recognizes the emphasis we place on both and I congratulate the team on a job very well done."
